My Cars

Here are some details about my cars :

 BGF943S started life as a 1978 1275gt , i bought it in 1987 it was turbocharged by 1989 , added 8x13 superlites with glass arches in 1990 .It made 2 miniworld front covers .Steel flared arches were added in 1992 and it gradually became a spaceframe with coil over shocks and alloy monobloc brake calipers from and f1 car . The intercooled 1293cc forged piston steel engine had a modfied  t3 running up to  22 psi boost , and covered the 1/4 mile in 13.9 secs without an LSD , vmax with timing equipment from fast car in 1995 recorded 116 mph. It was the first time i had painted with 2 pack paint and was pleased with the results . In 1997 i fitted a 2in tube t45 cage for racing regulations in Hong Kong and it set sail for the Asian tracks. Suffering in a workshop flood ,I rebuilt the engine in 1998 and the last picture in the seqence is when i last saw it in Hong Kong.

XVD244 The mini Speedster. This was an idea I had to build a body chopped 2 seater mini with classic 60's look , Bodywork is not a service I offer but as with all my project cars I endeavor to carried out all the work myself from engine to paint .I finnished it summer 1997  and sold it in the autumn to James Sutton before he bought Minispeed .

LPA568D Mini Speedster number 2  completed in 2000 , sold autumn 2000 whereabouts now unkown , this car had more complete trimming than the previous one and steel framed dash section for extra rigidity.

Mini Speedster no.3 is nearing completion  , and will be ready for sale in the spring of 2010.
